1st Grade News example
For Chapel we will be performing “The Lord is My Shepherd” song with the 2nd and 3rd grade classes. We would love to have you join us.
The homework Packet is due the following Friday. This is review material and your child should need just a little help.
Parent/Teacher conferences are coming up. Remember that this conference is an opportunity for you to tell me about your child. I am excited about the chance to get to know you and your child better. Please sign up on the window outside of our classroom if you haven’t yet. Thanks!
Discipline Sheets are coming home this week in your child’s Friday folder. You will know your child’s behavior at school by the color of the markers received. Please sign it and return it to school.
High Frequency Words
Please practice these words daily as your child will begin using these words in their reading and writing. The more you practice at home the more successful your child will be. I will be sending High Frequency Word lists and Cards (attached to homework packet) home with you weekly. You may write the words on the blank cards to play a game of “memory” perhaps for example. Practice makes perfect!
